George Boyd

George was born in Bedford, but spent the majority of his childhood near Fayettville, North Carolina and some years in St. Louis, Missouri and Cypress, Texas. After graduating high school George enlisted in the United States Army as an infantryman and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington, deploying to Afghanistan in 2012. In 2015 he chose to pursue his higher education and moved to the Fort Worth area, enrolling at Tarrant County College. After earning an Associate of Arts degree, he pursued his Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and enrolled at the University of Texas at Arlington. Graduating with honors in 2019 and becoming a first-generation college graduate, George was accepted into the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at UTA. It was there that he specialized in mental healthcare and substance abuse counseling, graduating in 2020. The mission of Clearfork Academy is one that he feels blessed to be a part of, providing quality clinical treatment grounded in Spiritual truth. In his free time, he enjoys teaching 5th and 6th grade Sunday school, building computers, playing guitar, and spending time with his wife, 2 son’s, and 2 dogs.
