Shelley K. Plemons

Shelley Plemons serves as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Her primary responsibility is the integrator of the company vision. Shelley brings to the organization over 30 years’ experience in the behavioral health industry. Her expertise includes successful healthcare strategy, improving quality of care, driving performance and growth and the deployment of strategic initiatives.

Ms. Plemons grew up in the Eagle Mt. Lake area. She has fond memories of living on the lake and enjoying all the activities that the lake life offered.  Her professional career in behavioral health has taken her to 45 states and 3 countries.  After 30 plus years as a corporate road warrior, God called Shelley back to old stomping grounds to help save lives of the adolescence we serve.

Shelley is an active member of Gateway Church where she serves on the greeting committee. She accepted Christ at the impressionable age of 8 years old but had life changing relationship experience with Jesus as an Adult.  This experience transformed her understanding of a relational God who wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives.

Shelley is an avid student of personal development. She holds a Masters of Science in Counseling from Amber University and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Texas Christian University. Shelley attended Dallas Theological Seminary and is a former licensed therapist who specialized in adult and adolescence with both mental health and substance abuse issues.

In her leisure time, Shelley enjoys traveling to exotic places, reading, attending seminars, and teaching self-esteem and motivational programs to teen girls and adult women. She is also an avid interior designer and shopping expert!

As Chief Operating Officer, Shelley K. Plemons, leads the operations at Clearfork Academy, a faith-based residential treatment center serving young men ages 13-18 years old who are grappling with substance abuse and other behavioral health issues. Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, Clearfork Academy includes 62 beds. The company is committed to delivering exceptional care and revealing God’s healing presence to everyone we serve.

Ms. Plemons joined CFA in July 2021, bringing over 30 years’ experience in the behavioral health industry. Her expertise includes successful healthcare strategy, improving quality of care, driving performance and growth and the deployment of strategic initiatives.

Shelley has held senior positions for leading behavioral healthcare organizations such as   Perimeter Health Care, Managed Health Network (MHN), and Charter Medical Corporation, in addition to other senior management positions in the behavioral Health field.

Building on these successes, in 2002, she fulfilled a longtime dream by founding Strategic Sales Solutions, a company committed to helping behavioral health organizations dramatically increase revenue by developing key personnel and implementing processes. The company’s successful track record attests to the effectiveness of Shelley’s motivational consultative style and her ability to move organizations towards success. Her clients include both established and start-up organizations from fortune 500 organizations to small behavioral health organizations.

Shelley is an avid student of personal development. She holds a Master’s of Science in Counseling from Amber University and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Texas Christian University. She is formally a Licensed Counselor.

Ms. Plemons has been a featured guest speaker at multiple organizations and seminars including EAPA World Conferences, Entrepreneur Expo, Exceptional Women, National Association of Public Relations, and many more.

In her leisure time, Shelley enjoys traveling to exotic places, reading, attending seminars, and teaching self-esteem and motivational programs to teen girls and adult women.
