Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our Partial Hospitalization Program functions as a mid-point for teens who are ready to move beyond full-time residential treatment but could still benefit from a more intensive support structure. For individuals stepping down from full-time residential treatment, this step-down process aids in long-term recovery as it allows for teens to return to their new everyday lives while providing structured treatment. Our PHP program consist of four hours of group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy, as clinically appropriate. This model allows teens to continue their recovery while transitioning to their regular home and school environment. In this PHP program, our experienced clinicians use evidence-based treatment approaches, ensuring your teen receives the best care possible. We take a personalized approach to addiction recovery, understanding that every teen’s journey is unique. Our PHP program incorporates music, art and yoga therapy along with process groups that focus on positive mental health and psychoeducational groups that will aid in achieving long-term sobriety.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Similar to our Partial Hospitalization Program, our Intensive Outpatient Program provides a balanced approach to substance abuse treatment, allowing teens to live at home and maintain their day-to-day. This IOP program can serve as a step-down process after completion of PHP program and includes three hours of group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy as clinically appropriate. Benefits of Teen Outpatient Programs at Clearfork Academy
At Clearfork Academy, we recognize the struggle of accepting that you have a problem with mental health or substances and need to seek treatment. Many of our staff have recovered from addiction themselves and found healing through intensive outpatient treatment approaches. Addiction is a powerful force, but we believe that through our intensive outpatient program, you can recover.
Outpatient treatment programs like ours at Clearfork Academy particularly help young people with certain mood disorders or who are in the early stages of substance abuse or addiction. If teenagers fall into substance abuse when they are young, there is an increased risk that they will suffer from addiction or mental health issues later in life. It is essential to consider a teen outpatient program as early as possible.
Our teen intensive outpatient treatment program allows you to be flexible with your treatment process. You may attend school or have commitments that prevent you from spending much time in treatment. From art therapy to group therapy, we will design a treatment program to meet your needs.
We understand the teen years are a particularly difficult time in your life. Our mission is to treat teens with substance abuse and addiction so that they can develop healthy coping skills to live a happy and healthy life in whichever way they choose.
How Our Outpatient Programs Work
Our intensive outpatient programs aim not to disrupt your life too much. You will have an assessment with a medical professional to understand your needs and your life so that we can fit our outpatient services and mental health care around academic, family, or extracurricular activities. We offer fully individualized treatment programs that take into account any mental health condition you may also have. We even offer the option for you to attend therapy sessions virtually.
In the Clearfork Academy teen intensive outpatient program, you will receive medical monitoring of your withdrawal symptoms, medication, and any mental health concerns so that you can remain as safe and comfortable as possible, even from your own home.
Signs That My Child Might Benefit From Outpatient Programs
It is important to recognize the early signs of substance abuse and addiction so that your teenager can get treatment as soon as possible. People tend to hide signs, but some to look out for include:
- Dramatic physical or emotional changes such as weight changes or mood swings
- Losing interest in activities they used to enjoy, such as sports, music, or other hobbies
- Problems at school, such as an unexplained decrease in performance and skipping school
- Getting into trouble with the law, such as driving under the influence or stealing
- They are struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, or depression
What Is Outpatient Rehab and How Does It Differ From Inpatient Rehab?
Intensive outpatient programs are where you live at home outside of treatment hours. This is different from inpatient treatment programs, where you stay at the treatment center 24/7 for the duration of your treatment.
An intensive outpatient program may suit those who are in the early stages of addiction and have a strong support network with friends and family who are not using substances.
